In 2003, Christopher Hessler founded AJW, Inc. to provide high-quality business consulting and advocacy services to accelerate development and deployment of his clients’ offerings in energy and environmental markets.
Mr. Hessler is known for his successful, innovative strategies to enhance market opportunities for clean-technology clients. His work has enabled AJW clients to increase market demand, attract investment, and penetrate markets dominated by incumbent technologies that often benefit from entrenched government policies.
As an AJW Partner, he has advised nationally and internationally respected clients including private corporations, non-profit organizations, business and industry coalitions, environmental foundations, and research organizations. He has three decades of experience in energy/environmental markets, law, and regulation and the role they play in facilitating or inhibiting private sector responses to public policy challenges.
Previously, Mr. Hessler worked on environmental and energy policy with state, regional and federal elected officials and private sector leaders. He served as Deputy Staff Director for the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and as a Senior Policy Advisor to Governor Whitman of New Jersey. He began his career as a consultant in the New Jersey-based public affairs firm of Holt, Ross, and Yulish, Inc. where his work was recognized by an award (Silver Anvil) from the Public Relations Society of America.
