Project Description
Arthur Haubenstock
Arthur brings over three decades of experience in developing innovative, robust solutions for complex energy and environmental law and policy issues.
Over his career, Arthur has held leadership roles in multiple clean energy companies and trade associations. His insights on markets, regulation, and policy stem from his work on behalf of government, utilities, developers, financiers, and other clean energy sector interests. He has helped resolve controversial issues and improve outcomes for many multi-stakeholder legal, regulatory and policy processes, including national and regional renewable energy, market and transmission initiatives.
Arthur has negotiated and obtained regulatory approval for first-of-their-kind solar and storage contracts; secured precedent-setting energy and environmental approvals for generation and transmission; and cleared obstacles to multi-billion dollar project financing. He has also led nationally significant environmental actions, including the clean-up of the Bolsa Chica wetlands, which enabled its restoration as a key avian stopover along the Pacific Flyway.
Arthur has taught energy and environmental law and policy classes and guest lectured at UC Berkeley, Stanford and many other schools.
