AJW is pleased to announce Charles Ingebretson has joined the firm as Partner. Charles has extensive experience in policymaking and advocacy in both the legislative and executive branches of the Federal government. He served as Republican counsel to the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Environment Subcommittee, as the Committee’s general counsel, and as chief counsel to the Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.  He participated in the development of legislation and oversight on a wide variety of issues including passage and implementation of the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments, passage of the 1996 Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act, and amendments to various provisions of the Public Health Act.

As an attorney, Charles also had experience in the private sector representing corporate clients on a variety of energy and environmental issues, including compliance with laws regarding fuel additives, development and approval of non-ozone depleting chemicals, and standards for flame retardant chemicals used in airplane manufacturing.
